Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Air Dates (“we”, “us”, “the site”) handles information when you use our TV air-date calendar at airdates.app and related pages (the “Service”). The Service is operated as a fan project; we are not affiliated with airdates.tv, broadcasters, or Wikipedia.
Summary
- You can use the calendar without creating an account.
- Optional sign-up syncs your show colors and related preferences through our API and Supabase Auth.
- We do not sell your personal information. We use only what is needed to run the Service.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you choose to register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and password (handled by Supabase Auth). We store preference data linked to your account, such as which shows you marked or colored and filter settings used for features like “My shows”.
If you use Add show, you may submit Wikipedia URLs. Those URLs are processed to import public episode data; we do not use them to identify you unless they are tied to an authenticated session where our API logs requests.
Information stored on your device
The site uses local storage in your browser for theme choice, dismissed notices, show color marks (when you are not signed in), and similar client-side settings. This data stays on your device unless you sign in and sync preferences.
Information collected automatically
When you load pages or call our API, standard web logs may include your IP address, browser type, requested URLs, and timestamps. Our hosting provider (e.g. Vercel) and database/auth provider (Supabase) may process similar technical data as part of delivering the Service.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Display the calendar and search catalog data;
- Authenticate you and sync preferences when you opt in to an account;
- Import and update episode air dates from Wikipedia;
- Protect the Service, debug issues, and comply with law.
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and hosted Postgres when sign-up is enabled. See Supabase’s privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting, edge delivery, and Web Analytics. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
- Wikipedia — source for episode lists and air dates. We fetch public content; your browser may load Wikipedia or related links when you follow them from the calendar.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies. When enabled on our deployment, Vercel may collect privacy-oriented usage metrics (page views) via first-party scripts; see Vercel Web Analytics. Supabase Auth may set session cookies or use comparable storage when you sign in. Most other settings use browser local storage as described above.
Retention
Account and preference data are kept while your account exists or as needed to operate the Service. You may delete local browser data at any time. To remove an account, use sign-out and contact us if you need account deletion assistance (see Contact).
Your choices
- Use the site without signing in;
- Clear site data in your browser settings;
- Sign out to end an active session;
- Do not submit personal information in URLs or forum posts when those features exist.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate (including the United States and the European Union). By using the Service, you understand that data may cross borders.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
